At 7:30 am. Leaving the Hotel & Going to Bali Zoo in Sukawati!

On our second day in Bali, we went to Bali Zoo and trekking!!! The great menu was on HIRO-chan’s website and their Staff Report made us want to visit there! This time, we hoped to give everyone its information as other monitors did. Why did we choose the menu? It’s simple. “We love animals” and “wanted to go original Bali instead of sightseeing spots”. Before 9 o’clock, we got to Bali Zoo by a comfortable car!

Are You Seriously Walking Here? Unexpected Trekking

We went trekking with 2 guides; one male and one female. The female one was especially very nice! Even though it was on the monitor’s voice, we only walked on places which were not actual roads or streets. It was tough to walk on the bushes. We recommend you to wear long pants which protect your legs from a rush from the bushes.
Unexpected thrilling experience! Due to the rain the day before, there was a 3m gap between narrow streets which made us nervous to across. What will happen if someone fell?

Feel the Nature of Bali!

Walking in the rice field, forest and temples for 2 hours. Our guides could speak only English, so we had a problem to understand them when they used vocabularies we didn’t understand. We thought the rice fields were like stairs, but flat like Japanese ones.
They asked us what we wanted to do from the beginning in the zoo and the trekking, so we could plan a schedule flexibly.

Happy! Tasty Lunch!

During the trekking, our guides bought us ice cream which didn’t suit our taste, but we enjoyed the lunch. The grilled chicken with sweet source and the fish with garlic source were delicious! Free juice which relieved our thirst was great service after the trekking!

Meeting Many Animals!

We could play with 5 kinds of the animals, including hedgehogs, snakes and babies of the tiger. It will be a great experience for animal lovers, because there are a considerable number of animals there!
We were lucky to be able to see large bats in a close distance that are rare in Japan. Animals in the zoo are usually in cages, but in Bali Zoo, they graze the animals freely, so we were very very happy to be able to have an experience to be with them close for the first time!
